In addition to the sale of specific casthouse equipment, Novelis PAE is able to provide the following services via contracts tailored to customer needs.

Basic engineering.
For any new project, Novelis PAE is able to define:

• Guide lay-out drawing, with product flow,
• Specifications of the main lines of equipment,
• Detailed list of manning requisites for production and maintenance,
• Safety and fire protection recommendations,
• Specifications for the control laboratory and test equipment,
• Performance tests.

Staff training.
Customer's staff training can include training in Novelis or its licensees' plants completed by training on site on the customer's own lines of equipment

Plant and equipment commissioning.
Our specialists supervise start-up of the equipment and performance tests.

• Staff training can be completed during this period
• Production is launched during this phase.

Long-term production assistance.
Assistance with plant operation, after take-over of equipment.
Throughout the validity of the contract, the customer's production staff is able to continually benefit by the regular help from NOVELIS to:

• Troubleshoot specific fabrication problems
• Adapt products to meet the specific needs of its own customers.

Industrial audits.
Evaluate the condition and actual capacity of the existing equipment as well as its present operating performance.  Determine the state of the process and the level of quality of products manufactured.
Identify the modifications and/or improvements to be made to the existing equipment in the short term to improve performance
Determine the potential investment to be made to up-grade the present product mix in accordance with the strategic plan
